Clonard Waterpolo Club was founded in 1921 in the city of Belfast. The results are starting to show. www.clonardwaterpolo.org

The club is growing from strength to strength and putting a lot of time into the junior side of the club. Clonard Waterpolo Club originated from the Falls Baths located in the west of the city and is recognised as Ireland's most successful club having won 28 Irish Senior cups, including an unparalleled 14 in a row between 1960 and 1973.

Well done to the boys and girls U15 teams (and coaches/managers) @ Clonard Waterpolo - brilliant results brought the girls to a very credible exit at the semis - with the boys beating home favourites Corrib Waterpolo Club in the final in Galway this evening….well done all! 🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️☘️💚

Fantastic achievement and congratulations to them all and to all of their teammates from across Ireland Water Polo. The Committee and members of Clonard Waterpolo club are saddened to learn of the death of Fiona Quinn wife of club stalwart and current treasurer Johnny. Mother of club players James, Micheal, Johnny and Rory.
May Fiona rest in peace.

Big weekend ahead for Clonard, our U13 girls and boys in the Irish cup in Dublin today tomorrow, and tonight, we celebrate our 100 years together with Clonard friends and family in a gala ball at the City Hall hosted very kindly by our Mayor Christina Black. …..the future Clonard Waterpolo is bright!! 🤽🏻‍♂️🤽‍♀️🤽‍♀️🤽🏻‍♂️

Thanks Phil, wonderful words…..Very sad news indeed, Gerry was a real character. Loved the rivalry and the friendship he exhibited in often unequal measure. He always had a sparkle in his eye and a mischievous pen, one which we all appreciated and loved to read. May he rest in peace!
