🏆 SHARK SWIMMING CLUB ANNUAL AWARDS 2025/26 🦈

What a fantastic evening in the Ardilaun last night for our Annual Awards, with a full house celebrating another brilliant year for Shark Swimming Club.

A huge thank you to all of our swimmers, families, coaches, committee members and volunteers who joined us and helped make the evening so special.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of our award winners and to every Shark swimmer on everything they achieved throughout the 2025/26 season. We are incredibly proud of you all. 💙

Now we’re ready to dive straight into 2026/27! 🦈

As we look back on a fantastic 2025/26 season, we couldn’t quite wrap things up without a special mention for four Sharks who are heading off on their next adventure. ❤️

This past week saw our wonderful Leaving Cert students receive their results and, with that, prepare for the next exciting chapter as they move on to college.

To Ciara, Ewan, Katie & Niamh,

You have been outstanding ambassadors for Shark. You have led by example, not only through your commitment and achievements in the pool, but through your kindness, friendship and the way you have represented our club over the years.

This is about recognising your success as swimmers, but perhaps even more importantly, celebrating the fantastic young people you have grown into. We are incredibly proud to have watched you grow up through Shark and to have played even a small part in your journey.

Your families have also played a huge part in our club over the years, giving their time, support and commitment in so many different ways. Their contribution to Shark has been invaluable and very much part of your journey too. Thankfully, some of them aren’t getting away from us just yet, with younger siblings still here… thank God! 😅

We wish each of you every success and happiness in whatever comes next. There will always be a place for you here, whether that’s in the pool, on deck, or simply coming back to say hello.

And don’t forget…

Following a fantastic response to our recent new member assessments, we’re delighted to be holding a second set of assessments on Monday, 24th August.

If your swimmer has progressed through swim lessons, loves the water and is ready to take the next step into competitive club swimming, we’d love to meet them.

🏊 Open to swimmers aged 7–11 years.

SHARK SWIM CLUB NEW MEMBER ASSESSMENTS

If your child loves the water, loves to swim and is ready for a new challenge, it might be time to JOIN SHARK! 🦈

We’re a team built on a passion for the water, friendships, confidence, competition and extreme fun! ❤️🌊

Our New Member Assessments take place Sunday afternoon: 16th August, and are suitable for children aged 7–11 years. We would love to see you there.

Swimmers should be able to:
• Swim 25m Freestyle and Backstroke
• Have a similar capability, or a good attempt, at Breaststroke and Butterfly

They don’t need to be perfect — that’s what coaching is for! We’re looking for children who are comfortable in the water, keen to learn and excited to swim.
