This Samhain, Eyre Square will come alive with ritual, movement, and spectacle. Genevieve Ryan Dance Academy presents A Thriller in Eyre Square, a large-scale community dance activation returning bigger than ever as part of Galway City Council’s Gaillimh Ah Boo programme. Funded by Galway City Council Night-Time Economy and the Department of Culture Communications and Sport.

After a long summer, the studio is officially back in action — and apparently choreography, counting, demonstrating, correcting, encouraging AND remembering everyone’s names requires A LOT of caffeine! 😂

Little feet, big joy. 💛
Happy Feet is where our tiniest dancers, ages 3 to 5, take their very first steps into movement. Through creative play, music and gentle routines, they build confidence, coordination and a love of dance that grows with them. It is the kind of first class where they are having so much fun they do not even realise they are learning.
Happy Feet runs in Renmore every Monday, 3:00 to 3:45pm, with classes in Ballinderreen too.

It’s here! Adult Contemporary joins our timetable this season and we could not be more excited about this one.
This is for every adult who has wanted to move freely and actually feel it, not just count steps. Think flowing choreography, floorwork and technique that builds real strength and confidence every single week.
And you are in brilliant hands. Emily brings over 20 years of training and a genuine passion for helping dancers grow in confidence and self-expression.
Mondays 7.30 to 8.30pm at Headford Road, ages 18+.

We are so proud to share that A Thriller in Eyre Square has been named a finalist at Dance Awards Ireland 2026 in the Community Dance Project category.
Last October, Eyre Square filled up with people dancing together. No auditions, no experience needed. This one belongs to everyone who showed up.
