It’s lovely to have the new yoga term underway — we had a brilliant full Beginners class on Tuesday evening.
If you already have some yoga experience and would like to develop your practice further, there’s still space in my Thursday Mixed Level class, 6–7pm at Croí Nua, Taylors Hill.
We work progressively with standing poses, seated poses, twists, forward extensions, balances, backbends and inversions, with plenty of use of props and adaptations along the way.
New students can try their first class free until 17 September.

A new season of yoga at Croí Nua 🌿

As we head into September, it’s a lovely time to begin — or return to — a regular yoga practice.

Weekly Iyengar Yoga classes continue at Croí Nua, Taylors Hill, with a Beginners / Level 1 class on Tuesday and Mixed Level on Thursday.

✨ New to my classes? Your first class is FREE till 17th September.
Complete beginners are very welcome.

Classes are rolling, so you don’t need to wait for the start of a new course or term — you can join at any time.

Flexible class passes mean you’re not tied to a fixed-term course — come when you can and use your classes over the life of your pass.

All yoga mats and props are provided, and there is free on-site parking at Croí Nua.

Come as you are, work at your own level, and enjoy learning in a friendly and supportive class environment.

Iyengar Yoga is a clear and progressive approach, with an emphasis on alignment, awareness and precision. Props are an important part of the method, helping us explore and understand the poses in different ways. Iyengar Yoga teachers also undertake comprehensive training and assessment. Looking forward to welcoming familiar faces back and meeting some new ones this autumn 💚

How can we adapt a pose so that it serves the person in front of us?
At our Iyengar Yoga Skills Training Session last Saturday I brought a particular teaching question to Aisling: how might I adapt Urdhva Dhanurasana for a student who doesn’t feel able to take the head back into the full pose?
We explored using the chair and support to experience the actions and spaciousness of the backbend—without insisting on one particular shape.
A valuable reminder that thoughtful support isn’t about achieving the pose at all costs, but finding a way for the pose to benefit the individual.
Thank you, Aisling, for your guidance and generous teaching.
