One month ago today, we came together to celebrate movement, music and community at MOMENTUM 2026 and CÉILÍ AFRO DABKE UKRAINE World Music Céilí Dance. 💛
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Black Box Theatre on 6 June.
It was a memorable afternoon celebrating the diversity, creativity and talent of dance in Galway, with inspiring MOMENTUM performances that afternoon from Rachel Sheil, Melanin Tee with No Rules Just Rhythm, and Aneta Dortová with musician Agustina Taborda.
Later that evening, we came together as a community and danced at CÉILÍ AFRO DABKE UKRAINE World Music Céilí Dance presented by Catherine Young Dance. The space was alive with music, dance and energy, all while celebrating the richness of world cultures and dance.
Thanks to céilí callers Amir Sabra, Tatiana Santos, Daria Asieieva & Kristyn Fontanella, as well as the musicians Martin Schärer, Kieran Fitzpatrick, Niall Fitzgibbon, Hendrik Kar, Tim Doyle, Brian Fleming, & Nico Severin.
Big thanks to The Arts Council & Town Hall Theatre for supporting.
Finally – thank you all for being part of our dance community... we can't wait to dance with you again soon!
