Great win this morning in Shannon in Rd. 2 of the U14 hurling championship. Playing into the wind the boys trailed by five points at the interval, hurling well but leaving some chances behind them. Wolfe Tones started the second half brighter however and extended their lead to eight points before Éire Óg got a proper foothold on the match. A brilliant 10 minute spell saw the game turned on its head and using the wind advantage, Éire Óg dominated on the field wiping the deficit with four goals and some excellent point taking. A 12 point 2nd half turnaround was just reward for an excellent display all over the field from 1 to 15 including the players sprung from the bench. Well done lads.

Tubridy's Bar and Restaurant U17A Football Championship. Hard luck lads. Two rounds left to ensure qualification for the knockout stages hopefully. Well done to Ennistymon on their win this evening.

Next assignment in the Tubridy's Bar and Restaurant U17A Football Championship is a trip to take on Ennistymon on Monday evening in Rd. 5. Good luck boys. 🇲🇨🇵🇱🇲🇨🇵🇱🇲🇨

Debriefing following this morning's U14A Football game in Ballynacally against Clondegad. Unfortunately the boys came up short on a 4-13 to 3-09 scoreline. But results are not the only metric by which these competitions are gauged. 24 players saw game-time this morning and all will have learned a little bit more about the game, their own abilities and what is required to compete at "A" level. We will also field a second team in the U14 Academy competition next week. Plenty opportunities for players to develop further on the long path to adulthood.
