We've been tasked with highlighting the highs and lows of managing a PFC location...here's mine ๐Ÿ˜…

1. High - seeing the change in people. To see people go from strength to strength, physically and mentally, is one of my favourite parts of the job. Seeing people find themselves and realise that they deserve to be healthy and strong is unbelievable.

2. Low - the early mornings/late evenings and everything in between. 'Ah sure, that's handy. You're only teaching 20 hours a week'. That's 20 hours of having to be mentally switched on ni matter how you're feeling and making sure people get a good class. It's the hours outside of teaching, the replying to emails, texts, social media, enquiries, it's organising events, it's cleaning, the client check-ins, the having no real days off.

3. High- freedom to be creative. I get to plan classes however I like, I get to try new things and have fun with exercise. I get to incorporate music that I love and get songs stuck in peoples heads and also make them hate certain songs ๐Ÿ˜…

4. Low - feeling that you're not doing a good enough job. The imposter syndrome is real. Am I a good enough manager? Am I a good enough coach? Are the members happy? Could I be doing something better? Are people going to suddenly stop coming? You never switch off from these thoughts ๐Ÿ˜…

5. High - the connections made. I genuinely see the PFC gang as an extended family. They are the best bunch of people and to see them interact with each other and welcome in new members is everything ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป I want PFC to be a place where friendships are made for life.

6. Low - people treating me like a robot. Getting a message at 11pm at night "how much?"...eh hello would be nice! And people not bothering to respond go you after you've gone out of your way to explain something to them. I am a real person taking time to respond to you. A bit of common curtesy goes a long way ๐Ÿซ

7. High - I genuinely love my job. I don't dread going to work. I don't dread meeting the people that go to PFC. I love working with people and helping them with their goals. I love seeing PFC grow and evolve. Long may it last! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Games Day 2026 ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Thank you, thank you, thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

We honestly have the best bunch of people that show up, not only for themselves, but for us too๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

They ask can they help us set up, they bring goodies, they help us clean up, they take content for us ๐Ÿ˜‚, they cheer each other on and most importantly they make PFC Dungarvan what it is ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Work doesnโ€™t feel like work when youโ€™re surrounded with people like this! Every early morning, every doubt, every late evening, is all worth it ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

We hope that you all had a great morning! It was fantastic to see so many new people as well as our regulars and the support for one another was next to none ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Hereโ€™s to the next one ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Let's talk *Consistency*

Take a look at these 2 Inbody scans....what's the one thing that they both have in common???....that's right, they were consistent! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Two busy women who both work full time and have children, both have managed to achieve these amazing results by being consistent.

We're they perfect every week? No.
Did they cut out food groups and go on extreme deficits to do this? No.
Did they miss out on family occasions/nights out/holidays? No.
Did they have a bad day/week and throw the toys out of the pram? No.

What did they do?
1. Show up for themselves consistently...and yes, even during the summer when the sun was out and they didn't want to be there ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘€
2. Ate in a calorie deficit.

Slow and steady results over the past 18 months that they can maintain! And that is so important! There's no point in losing a s**t tonne of weight in an unsustainable way just to be back at square one in 6 months' time. Find something that works for you and stick with it!

The main thing I look at with these scans is muscle mass. If I see a major drop in muscle, then we tweak the protein intake and make sure that the person is lifting weights. Weight loss with major muscle loss is not what we want to see!!

The end.
