Congratulations on a brilliant win to our young star only 15yrs of age. His first night in the club was with Connor when they watched the final 2yrs ago when Niall Bennett won, so its great to see his progress in such a short amount of time.

Hard luck to Niall but another superb performance, Justin Gill took 3rd with a 2up win over Ciaran McCormack.

We also had our Presidents Prize Presentation with Lena Hobbs presenting Debbie Donohoe with her Prize and others too.

Tomorrow we have the Mick Bagnall Matchplay Shield Final at 6pm

The Semi-Finals of our Mick Bagnall Shield take place over the next couple of evenings with two cracking matches to come.

Linus Hartmann has been sensational this year, especially in the quarter final and could a juvenile member win the title! He's playing Justin Gill tonight in the first Semi-Final in a repeat of their group game.

In fact, Group 2 must have been the group of death as 3 of the players make the Semi-Final with Ciaran McCormack taking on former winner Niall Bennett on Wednesday

The Loughlinstown Junior Gents continue to mop up prizes this year in Scratch Cups as Noel Flanagan took the 1st prize in Poulaphouca on Saturday.

Huge well done to Paul Brosnan today as he made the final 18 playoff in the Junior All-Ireland Strokeplay in Kilbeggan. Unfortunately, the back 9 caused him problems all day and he missed out on the places but still finished in a creditable 11th spot out of the 80 players. Our other members, Ken Butler, Ciaran McCormack, John Boyle and Inter Chris Finn couldn't quite make the playoffs but as always, gave their all.

It's the turn of the Senior Gents on Sunday in Tullamore and we wish JR Crangle, Gary Healy and Hubert Kelly the very best of luck on what looks an extremely tough course in certain areas! It should be a fascinating championship.
