Meet Norman from Newtownards. 68 years old. Marathon runner. World Championships athlete.

After finishing the London, Boston and Belfast Marathon he turned to his training partner Nick and said "I'll have a go at HYROX."Three sessions later a man who couldn't do 10 wall balls he entered Cardiff HYROX and qualified.🤯

He is now ranked 10th in the world in Male Solo for his age, a World Record holder and European Record holder in Mixed Doubles with partner Amanda Perry, and has competed at the HYROX World Championships.🏆

No age limit. No excuses. Just showing up and seeing what happens. 💪

The atmosphere was electric ⚡️ on Saturday at the Mayor-Rox in Melvin sports complex in Association with Maiden city games. Hyrox is the Fastest growing Sport in the 🌎

We caught up with Sophie & Brooke straight after completing their very first Maiden City Games HYROX Simulation… and WOW 💪

From nerves at the start line to smiles at the finish ramp this is exactly what our events are all about.
