Mason has been part of the Academy for many years and has shown outstanding dedication, commitment and professionalism throughout his journey.

After being identified by Nottingham Forest, a number of other professional clubs expressed an interest in Mason. However, he stayed loyal to the pathway he had chosen, turning down those opportunities because he believed Nottingham Forest was the right club for him.

That loyalty, patience and belief have now been rewarded with a contract at one of England's biggest clubs.

Mason's success is another fantastic example of the pathway at Glentoran Academy, where hard work, commitment and perseverance can help young players achieve their dreams.

🚨Another Academy Graduate Makes the Move Across the Water! 🚨

Everyone at Glentoran Academy would like to congratulate Zak Magowan on signing for West Ham United.

Zak joined Glentoran at the age of 14 and has enjoyed an outstanding journey through our Academy. Beginning with our Under-15s, he quickly progressed into the Under-16s before earning a promotion to the Under-18s after just six months. From there, he continued his development with both our Under-18s and Under-20s, consistently demonstrating the attitude, commitment and quality needed to reach the next level.

Signing for West Ham United is a fantastic achievement and a reward for years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Everyone at Glentoran is incredibly proud of what Zak has accomplished, and we have no doubt he has a bright future ahead.

Zak's success is yet another fine example of the pathway Glentoran Academy continues to provide, with another young player earning the opportunity to take the next step in the professional game. We are proud to be developing players capable of competing at the highest level, and seeing them fulfil their dreams is what our Academy is all about.

Everyone at Glentoran FC is incredibly proud to congratulate Adam Nelson on signing for Sunderland AFC.

From the day Adam joined our Academy, he has shown an incredible attitude, work ethic and determination to improve every single day. His commitment, professionalism and talent have made him a fantastic role model around the club, and this opportunity is one he has truly earned.

Watching Adam's journey from Academy football to signing for a professional club has been a privilege for everyone involved. He has been a credit to himself, his family, his teammates and his coaches, and we have no doubt he has a very bright future ahead of him.

This signing is also another huge milestone for Glentoran Academy. Adam becomes one of three Academy players to secure a move across the water this year alone – a fantastic achievement that reflects the outstanding work being done throughout our Academy and the pathway we continue to provide for young players.
