BUKC 24H of Teeside - P22/60

Thank you to the boys who gave it their all throughout the 24 Hours💙

Multiple mechanical setbacks hampered our chances at a top result, but we also come away with our heads held high, competing against the top UK drivers🚀

Congrats to the winners of the event, thank you to TU Dublin Sport for allowing us to race, and thank you to the BUKC for their incredible organisation.

The 2024 edition of BUKC 24 Hours of Teeside was one that was full of learning curves.

Firstly, we had debuted an all new team consisting of Bobby McNamee, Josh Phelan, Val Strognovs, Lawrence Prosekin, Adam Corrigan and Jack McGee. The previous winners from the years previous have, by then graduated and have long since moved on with their racing careers.

The 2024 roster had rheir fair share of trials and tribulations to overcome, such as logistics, planning and general learning the track. But as the race progressed and the rain poured, the lads started to find their feet and start to own the kart they were driving.

A challenging year nonetheless, but those involved at the time had now progressed into professional aspects of motorsports!

📣THE 2023 EDITION OF BUKC 24 HOURS📣

In 2023, we returned to Teeside with the same ambition to win. This year we debuted two teams only, the A and B team. This edition of BUKC proved more successful then that of the yesr previous, where we didn't only just win, but the B team finished high up in the order, with a top 6 finish.

This race wasn't won on just pace, as the boys who competed in this edition of BUKC had executed their strategies to perfection - a big factor in endurance karting.

As we return to BUKC this year - we look to repeat the same successes as those who have done before us.

What is the BUKC 24 Hours of Teeside and our history?

BUKC is the SSI Karting intervarsity equivalent of karting in the UK. BUKC, in partnership with Club100, hosts a season long championship, where British Universities race on 2-stroke Rotax Max Rental Karts. At the end, BUKC host an endurance style race event in a grid with 50+ different teams in Teeside

In this instance, for Teeside, they use twin engined 4-stroke rental karts - the same fleet seen in Le Mans 24H Karting, Campillos 24H Karting, and other karting endurance karts. They are heavier and more powerful than your standard rental kart.

Our history with the event is decorated, where we are the ONLY university to win the event outright back-to-back in 2022 and 2023.

The pictures, shows off the A, B and C team that we have fielded in 2022 with the A team taking the overall win!

With our return, we aim to be back at the top.

🚨BUKC Return🚨

The academic year might be over and out, but there's no rest for the TU Dublin Karting Club Team.

This year we return to the 24 Hours Teeside BUKC competiton after a year's hiatus. The premiere of British University endurance karting, we set our sights for a mega return🤙

We've claimed back to back wins in the 2022 and 2023 edition of the BUKC 24 Hours previously👀

Thank you to for making this happen👊
