The Royal Irish Yacht Club is one of Ireland's leading private members’ sailing clubs, with some 1400 members. Founded in 1831, the clubhouse is the first purpose-built yacht club in the world. The Club regularly hosts major world, European and national championships, offering outstanding sailing and clubhouse facilities to members and their guests as well as visiting sailors. The Club was awarded 'Sailing Club of the Year 2016'.

The RIYC End of Season Annual Pursuit Race will be held Friday 4th September, starting from the committee boat "Spirit of the Irish".
Winners will lift the Don Richardson Perpetual Trophy.
Entry: €35 per boat.
