The Outhouse Book Club is back, and September's pick is a brilliant debut from an exciting q***r Irish author: 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬 by Niamh Ní Mhaoileoin 📚

What if you escaped your devout family in Ireland to live your best q***r life — and then your brother became a candidate for sainthood?

Living in London with her girlfriend, Jay has tried to leave both her family and her past behind. But when her beloved older brother, who died in a terrible accident, may be made into a Catholic saint, she’s forced to confront her childhood, her family, and herself.

Inspired by the author’s own upbringing, 𝘖𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘚𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴 is a moving, funny, and thoughtful exploration of family, grief, q***r identity, and the question of who gets to decide how we are remembered.

Help us uncover Outhouse’s history! Do you have a photo from Outhouse’s past? 📸

For almost 30 years, Outhouse has been a place to meet, make friends, find support, experience culture, organise, and simply be yourself. Now we’re looking to uncover some of the stories and memories held in people’s photo albums!

Whether it’s from our first few years on South William Street, the early days here at 105 Capel Street, or more recent times, we’d love to see what photos of you've got. Maybe you were involved in an event, group, performance, exhibition, or campaign. Maybe you were part of the building renovations or helped transform the space. Or maybe you simply captured Outhouse as it was in a moment in time.

➡️ Have something to share? Upload your photos via the link in our bio. 🔗

And please share this with anyone you think might have an old Outhouse photo tucked away somewhere! 🏳️‍🌈
