Tomorrow Heidi Witzova is swimming the 5 km qualifier for the Castle‑to‑Castle 13.5 km challenge, raising funds for Pieta, who provide free, lifesaving support to people struggling with their mental health across Ireland.

Congratulations to our runners who were busy over the weekend taking on ultra marathons in Britain and Finland.

Mao completed the 53km Maverick North Downs Trail in England, while John travelled to Finland to take on the Ultra X 50km. Two tough trail races that neither of them shied away from.

Brilliant running from these two legends, and it’s fantastic to see the Irish Mountain Cardio colours being represented on the international trail running stage. 👏🏔️🇫🇮🇬🇧

Nice to see our training ground making the official Dublin poster. We’ll expect James Hetfield on Wednesday at 7pm for hill reps! 😂

A huge thank you to our Women in Sport Officer, for organising a fantastic weekend away for the ladies of the club. From the travel and accommodation to the stunning 4-hour trail hike around the Cooley Mountains and evening dinner, everything was planned to perfection.

Judging by all the feedback, it was a huge success. A weekend filled with great trails, breathtaking views, plenty of laughter, and even better company from start to finish.

Well done, Sue, on creating such a memorable experience for everyone involved. 👏🏔️🥾😊

It was a cracking evening to be out on the trails, with plenty of strong running and great competition throughout the field. A huge well done to everyone who took part. The conditions were perfect underfoot, and despite the midges doing their best to slow us down, everyone dug in and got the job done.

Lovely evening up on the hill tonight. We managed to dodge most of the rain, with just a small shower catching us near the end. Another great run with great company, fresh air, and plenty of smiles along the way. Well done everyone who made it out.

What an amazing day with our club members who took on the Dublin Mountains Way Challenge, a 42km trail run from to The Sean Walsh Park in Tallaght. We had the 50km runners coming in from Bray and joining the main group to head off on a very hot day over the Dublin Mountains. Our aid stations crew where the best, our sponsors for an amazing running top created by the talented crew in .ie. for helping us out with our recovery for sore and tired legs. Our edible medals by our beers by .d_electrical our pizzas by Damo & John our van hire by .kelly.77377692. Our aid stations crew and JP for helping out when it was much needed. Thanks to the Shay of The Dragon Pub for a great night of celebrations. What a team, what a club.

Sun shining, birds in full song and the trails in Massey’s Estate looking class as always. Hard to beat mornings like that with good people and great company out on the hills.
