Designed for girls aged 6 to 11, the academy provides a fun, positive and encouraging environment where players can enjoy football, build confidence, develop their skills and make new friends.

🟢⚫ JAMIE SHINES WITH SHAMROCK ROVERS ACADEMY ⚽👏

A huge congratulations to Shankill FC U9 player Jamie Kelly Murphy, who was recently invited to train with Shamrock Rovers Academy and given the fantastic opportunity to wear the famous green-and-white hoops in two blitz tournaments over the weekend.

Jamie played brilliantly throughout, scoring plenty of goals, creating numerous chances and providing several assists. Most importantly, he enjoyed every minute, expressed himself on the pitch and had great fun playing football.

This opportunity is another example of how Shankill FC’s valued affiliation with Shamrock Rovers benefits our young players and coaches by providing additional football experiences, development opportunities and links to a recognised League of Ireland pathway.

A special mention also to Jamie’s parents and family for the encouragement, commitment and support they continue to give him as he enjoys and develops his football.

Everyone at Shankill FC is extremely proud of you, Jamie. Keep working hard, keep learning and, above all, keep enjoying your football.

Shankill FC’s U17 A4 and A5 Sunday teams are looking to welcome goalkeepers for the 2026/27 season.

This is an excellent opportunity for goalkeepers who want to develop their game through dedicated coaching while also training fully as part of a positive and competitive team environment.

Goalkeepers will benefit from specialist sessions delivered by a professional goalkeeper coach, focusing on:

🧤 Handling and shot-stopping
🧤 Footwork, positioning and movement
🧤 Distribution with hands and feet
🧤 Dealing with crosses and one-on-one situations
🧤 Communication, organisation and decision-making
🧤 Confidence and match preparation

Alongside the specialist goalkeeper coaching, players will be fully integrated into team training under our highly experienced and successful FAI- and UEFA-qualified coaches.
