Our 2026 Captain's Away Day took place this afternoon, Sunday 5th July in Kilkea Castle GC.

The course was in superb condition and there were some excellent scores recorded.

Club Captain Robert Ivers led the presentation in the club house in Kilkea GC.

Club Vice- Captain Padraig O'Brien took the nearest to the pin prize on the 6th hole.

John Campbell had the longest drive on the 11th.

Past President Fergus O'Hehir was 3rd with 35 points, beating 6 other golfers on a count back.

Craig McDonagh took 2nd place with 38 points.

The winner on the day, with an excellent 42 points, was Club Secretary Clive Brooks. Clive takes home the Away Day Perpetual Trophy.

Congratulations to all of our winners, and thanks to all who supported the away day.

Best of luck to Elmgreen Men's Pierce Purcell Shield team as they take on Sutton GC tomorrow (Sunday 5th July) with a place in the Leinster North Semifinal awaiting the winners.
