5 reasons to come on a Zen & Tonic adventure with me… 🤍

And honestly, there are probably about 50.

But these are the five that matter most.

You don’t need a travel buddy.
You don’t need to organise everything.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to look like an Instagram influencer. 😂

You just need to be willing to say YES.

Come solo.
Do it together.
Meet new people.
Find your tribe.

And somewhere along the way, you’ll probably laugh until your face hurts, make friends you never expected to make and come home wondering why you waited so long.

If you heard me on Newstalk, talking about being single and going to weddings on your own… this is Teddy. 😂🐻

I love being single. I genuinely do.

But I’ll admit, weddings are the one occasion where I think, “Hmmmm… a plus-one would be nice.”

I was imagining myself arriving alone, sitting at the dreaded Sad Singles table and wondering who I’d talk to.

I brought Teddy in my hand bag. Obviously! (We travel all over the world together.)

And you know what? After an hour or two, the anxiety disappeared, I relaxed, started chatting to people and had a brilliant day.

Sometimes we build things up in our heads to be much scarier than they actually are.

You don’t need a partner to have a life.
You just need to keep showing up for it. 🤍

Your friends might be busy. Your circumstances might have changed. You might be widowed, single, an empty nester or simply ready to see more of the world.

You can still go.

Sometimes the hardest part is just turning up.

I get it - it’s hard walking into a room where you don’t know anyone.
You’re trying something you’ve never done before and wondering if you’ll fit in.

And then… you realise everyone else is just there to move, have a laugh and get on with it too.

Today I was the newbie — and I’m very glad I went.

Because this is something I genuinely believe: you rarely regret the things you make yourself do.

So if you’ve been saying “I really should…”

I don’t workout or teach others so that we can obsess about how our bodies look.

We exercise because we want to LIVE long, adventurous, active lives. 🤍

We want to have strength to climb the stairs, lift suitcases, have long walks and enjoy life with others. As well as that, we want to live independently for many years to come.

My philosophy is simple- move your body daily. Look after it with good food, rest and kindness. Then go live your life. Dance! Book the holiday! Eat the cake!
