Strike 74 Bowling Supplies

There were another 180 entries in the August ALSAA Drop-in Singles, with the Final for the Top 8 Scratch and Handicap placed bowlers taking place tonight.

The winners were Alan MCDONNELL (Scratch) and Sergejs PODOBA (Handicap) who each won €300.

Joe O'CONNOR put in a great performance all the way through the 6 games but was "out-bowled" by Sergejs in the last set who finished with a great 280 scratch game.

Remember the new Bowling Season starts with the monthly Strike 74 Scratch and Handicap Singles on Sunday 9.30. It’s currently full so if you’re in and now unable to play let us know and we can put someone else in.

Please see attached the final standings for the August Drop In Singles. Another good turnout this month of over 180 entries meaning the prize fund will be over €1,800. Congratulations to those of you who made the final which will be this Wednesday evening 02/09/26 (Check in at 19:30).
We have been notified of some bowlers in the top 8 of Scratch and Hdcp who will not be available to play the finals this Wednesday and they have been marked N/A in the standings. Could we ask that all of the bowlers in the top 8 confirm with us their availability asap either be replying to this email or by contacting the bowl reception.

Next weekend sees the start of the Strike 74 Season.
Sunday 9.30 Squad only, we wont be running a Saturday squad.
For this month only we are putting up a one off prize of €300 for the first 300 game !!! and I think we might just get one.
30 is the max number for Sunday and we have 10 spots left so if your playing let us know ASAP

The ALSAA Summer Drop in singles is coming to a conclusion with the last day to play is Monday 31st August
Final will take place on Wednesday 2nd at 8pm Prize fund approaching €1600.00
Special mentions to Colm Cloake who had 1270 today making him the new leader. Alan Mc Donnell 1149 3rd and Anthony Byrne 4th 1120
Kamal Patel had a 1215 in the Handicap section which makes him the cut for the top 8 currently just beating Eddy Wattimena 1201 earlier today.

The Full ALSSA League program resumes this week, if your playing I’d like to wish you all the best in the upcoming season and on behalf of all of us here in ALSAA we thank you for your continued support.

Just a week to go now before the season kicks off for the Strike 74 singles. Once a month Play whenever payout fully every month. Open to all ages and abilities. €600 average prize fund. Handicap and scratch sections. Raffle on the weekend for a top of the range ball.

Thanks to the 17 teams (51 bowlers) who competed in the Baker Trios tonight. 5 teams qualified for the Stepladder Final with all receiving prize money. The top Senior and Ladies teams, outside the top 5 also received a prize of a voucher.

Congratulations to the winners, both on scoring and team VOCAL SUPPORT, Colum STAINES, Finn MCKEOWN and Ed MARSHALL, who are all Juniors.

Why not drop in and have a go, the perfect solution for a bit of practice before the league season re starts next month.

A reminder the Baker Trios is on this Saturday 5pm/ 7pm Still a couple of spots at 5pm available.
