Leinster Rugby Referees

Well done to Max Weston who officiated at the Rugby Europe Championship 7s leg 1 last week. Max was selected to referee the final between France and Germany. Congrats Max. Leinster Rugby

Another fantastic evening at the annual Leinster Rugby Referees v Merrion Cricket Club match in memory of our good friend and colleague Damian Poder. Sadly we fell short of the 158 set by Merrion, merely running out of balls with some superb displays from Aude deCasanove and Martin Farrelly amongst others, forcing Merrion to bring in the big guns in Joyce and Poder Jnr. Thanks to Wayne Sheridan and his wonderful wife Helen for organising. Wonderful to see Ailish Poder in attendance and Cian Poder playing a blinder on the crease. Thanks to Merrion for a great game and to our referees who showed up on the night. We’ve raised over €1000 for a great cause.

Damian Poder Memorial Cricket Match

📍 Venue: Merrion Cricket Club
⏰ Time: 5.30pm arrival for a 6.00pm start
The annual Damian Poder Memorial Cricket Match is fast approaching, and we would love to see as many LRR members, family and friends there as possible.
Whether you fancy taking to the field or simply joining us afterwards for a chat and a bite to eat, all are very welcome.
Following the match, there will be an LRR BBQ and Social Gathering. The BBQ is free of charge, and we simply ask those attending to consider making a donation via Revolut.

All proceeds will be donated to a charity chosen by Ailish in Damian's memory.
👏 Thanks to the incredible generosity of members of both Merrion CC and LRR, a fantastic €1,063 was raised last year.
🤞 It would be wonderful if we could surpass that total this year.

Congratulations to Robbie Jenkinson who has been named in the 12 match officials team for the World Junior Rugby Championship 2026 taking place in Tbilisi and Kutaisi in Georgia from June 27 to July 18.

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our past President, David MacDonald (2016/17). On behalf of everyone, we extend our heartfelt sympathies and sincere condolences to the MacDonald family at this sad time.
