Congratulations to Nick Donnelly on a super speedy time at the Naas 5km. He completed it in 19.47. It's great to see him back in action after a short setback over the summer. Well done Nick. The smile says it all.

If you went on holidays and didn't do any running, look away now.... Congratulations to Martin Conlon on completing the Sydney Beach2Beach Half marathon in a time of 2:14:42, he also made it a family affair with his kids also running. Could they be BAC's first contenders on the next Ireland's fittest family. Watch this space. Well done Martin, looks like you're having a great vacation.

Kieran Little was first BAC home in an amazing PB time of 01:10:30. We need to check our records but this could be a club best (since our records began). Well done to alll six runners and to Dervla Batt for flying the flag for the ladies.

Last week, we held the Club Mile at the UCD track. Thank you to everyone who took part, both runners and volunteers. First male was Michael Slevin in 5.23 and first female was Marta Dobric in 6.32 although we were impressed with everyone's fast times on the evening.

Well done to Marie-therese McCoy who completed 10k in a time of 51:21 and Cyril Treacy who completed 5k in a time of 23:55 at the Loughside Running Festival in Warrenpoint recently. Looked like a great atmosphere. Congrats guys.

Congratulations to member Bryan Sheils who once again completed 4 marathons back-to-back in Donegal, along the Wild Atlantic Way. This was his 155th marathon!! He makes quadrathons look easy in this photo! An amazing achievement.

What a turnout from at the Frank Duffy 10-mile race on August 15th. First male home was Darren Keane in 1:05:39 and first female was Phillippa Lloyd in 1:12:58.

Congratulations to the Dublin medal winners on the day at the Frank Duffy 10, Grainne Grennan 1st-F65, Billy Byrne 1st M65, Patricia Forde 3rd F55. The ladies team of Grainne, Patricia and Dervla were 2nd F50 team. Some great running all round by the club. Well done everyone!

Well done to Mark Kilcoyne who came 3rd in his age group (M40) at the Monaghan 10 mile (Aug 9th). He completed it in a phenomenal time of 1:00:24. Fantastic running Mark, well done!

It was great to see eight members at IMRA's Derrybawn Trail last weekend. A lovely route passing the Upper Lake at Glendalough with a nice fast gravel path down to the finish. Well done to Pat O Brien (M60) who came 3rd in his age group at his first ever IMRA and to Una Twyford who came first in her age group (F65). Well done to Stephen McDonald who was first BAC home.

Roisin Sullivan and David Kennedy completed the Athy half marathon on August 9th. Great running from these two members. Roisin came in at 1:58:31 while David came in at 1:52:53. A lovely photo of some well deserved post run celebrations. Congrats guys!
