The Last Ditch tells the unique story of sports columnist Sweeney’s journey to follow the All-Ireland Championships in 2024. His plan was to retrace the footsteps chronicled in his 2004 bestselling book The Road to Croker, but there was one big problem – for many years he had struggled with a crippling travel phobia that confined him to his hometown in West Cork. This book made him confront his deepest fear.

Join us on Saturday 8th August as the 2026 Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour series continues with Kilkenny camogie star Grace Walsh.
Grace made her debut with the Kilkenny Senior Camogie team in 2011 and retired in 2024 after a glittering thirteen-year career.
The Tullaroan clubwoman won three All-Ireland Senior Camogie titles in the black and amber. Her first win in 2016 saw the Cats claim the O’Duffy Cup for the first time in 22 years. Grace was also named on the All-Star team on three occasions.
In her earlier years Grace was part of a dominant Kilkenny underage side, while at club level she was a key member of the Tullaroan team who won the All-Ireland intermediate final in 2015.
This tour is part of the Bord Gáis Energy Legends Tour Series. These special tours, first introduced in 2008, provide fans with an unforgettable opportunity to hear memories and anecdotes first-hand from their GAA heroes.
