U10s - Drogheda Town Falcons vs Moneymore

Well done to our U10s for a solid performance this morning away against Drogheda Town Falcons. There were some well taken goals throughout the match and defensively the lads stuck to the task of keeping a clean sheet brilliantly. There is still plenty for the group to improve on and we keep on working hard 💪🏻

Star 🌟 Performer of the day was new boy Sam who scored his first ever hat-trick. Shoutouts also for Allister, Fiachra and Brendan who all had standout games ⚽️

Amongst the goals today were Allister, Sam, Kai, Jamie and Sean

Moneymore (Navy) vs Drogheda Town Eagles

Well done to our Moneymore Navy team who played this morning 👏🏻 We came up against a very experienced and talented Drogheda Town team but our players have no reason to feel disappointed and we will continue to learn from each game together ⚽

U9s - Laytown vs Moneymore

A huge well done to our U9s who played away at Laytown United this morning. All of our boys played excellently and there was some really good football on display across the whole group, with loads of goals scored and great teamwork 💪🏻 keep up the hard work ⚽️

U14s - Moneymore 2 - 1 Boyne Rovers

Our U14s hosted Boyne Rovers this morning in what was a tight, cagey, top of the table clash.

It was Moneymore who took the lead mid-way through the first half after great work down the right from Jayden who put a great ball into the box which found Shayden, who calmly picked his spot to slot the ball past the Rovers keeper.

Moneymore pushed hard seeking to extend their lead and came close several times, including an excellent freekick from Jayden which hit the post, but it was Rovers who got the next goal of the game from the penalty spot just before half-time.

The second half was a close contest, with Liam in the Moneymore goal making a great save to keep the scores level just after the restart. We went close to regaining the lead several times throughout the half, with the ball just going past the wrong side of the woodwork. Our perseverance paid off after a lovely ball from Mikey found Roman who turned and put the ball into the top corner, sending the home support wild.

Rovers pushed to level the game and in the last 10 minutes Moneymore had to defend well, but we saw the game out to take a massive three points in the battle for top spot. Full time 2 - 1 to Moneymore 🩵

U10s - Moneymore vs Boyne Rovers

Well done to our U10s who put in an impressive performance today against an ever strong Boyne Rovers team.

The whole team worked hard and there was plenty of good football played from both sides. There is still a lot of come from our players and we will continue working hard in training.

Special mention to Callum and Fiachra for their outstanding work-rate, and also to player of the day Jamie who put in a real shift up front and linked up well with the rest of the team 🌟
