We’re actively recruiting new players for the upcoming season as we prepare to compete once again in the highly competitive BNI Men’s League.

Proudly representing our community, we are the only active senior men’s basketball team in the area, continuing a tradition of success both on and off the court.

Whether you’re returning to the game, new to the area, or looking for a competitive team to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.

Following last week’s AGM, several vital committee positions remain unfilled, including:

• Chair
• Fixtures Secretary
• Gym Convenor
• Assistant Secretary
• Assistant Treasurer

Without volunteers stepping forward to fill these roles, Donegal Town Basketball Club cannot operate next season.

An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) has been called to determine whether the club can continue.

⚠️ This is an urgent call to action.

If these positions are not filled:

• There will be NO Donegal Town Basketball League next season
• Our teams will be unable to enter North West competitions and tournaments
• Players of all ages will lose the opportunity to play competitive basketball locally
• The future of basketball in Donegal Town will be in serious jeopardy

This is not someone else’s responsibility. If you are a player, parent, coach, supporter, former player, or anyone who cares about basketball in Donegal Town, we need you at this meeting.

If nobody steps forward, there may be no basketball club to return to next season.

Well done to DTBC players Elsie Mc Allister, Julia Mc Allister and Cara Tooher who attended the Basketball Ireland Inter Provincial Tournament in University of Limerick on Saturday. A great day of basketball with plenty of talent on show. 👏🏻🏀⛹️‍♀️

End of Season Basketball Awards Presentation

Congratulations and well done to all those who received awards this season. Your hard work, dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the year have been outstanding.

Every player should be proud of their effort and improvement over the season. Thank you to all the children for making it such an enjoyable and successful year.

A special thank you also to the coaches, parents, and supporters for all your encouragement and commitment.
