These tips all have one thing in common...
They make putting nutritious food into your body easier.
And when something is easier to do, you’re far more likely to do it.
Most people think changing what they eat starts with willpower.
I think it starts much earlier.
It starts in the supermarket.
Every decision you make there removes dozens of decisions you’ll have to make later in the week.
That’s why I buy pre-chopped vegetables, ready-to-eat snacks and foods that are quick to prepare.
I’m not just saving time - I’m reducing opportunities to get distracted.
The biggest game changer for me though was portioning meals in advance.
I’d spend Sunday planning, shopping and meal prepping...
But then I’d leave meals batched together.
Later in the day, when I was tired, stressed or chasing dopamine
I’d either serve myself far more than I needed…
Or skip the meal completely and head straight for the crisps and biscuits.
Now I portion everything right after it’s cooked.
When it’s time to eat, I open the fridge, grab a container and a fork.
No indecision.
No fighting an impulse.
The food is simply too easy not to eat.
Your thoughts might care beforehand.
Your body won’t afterwards.
If you’re tired of relying on motivation and willpower and want systems that work with your impulsive behaviours instead of against them…
