The club would like to extend our deep sympathies to The O’Loughlin family on the devastating passing of Cormac. The news was met with great sadness this past weekend in both our club and community.
Like most local children in the 90’s, Cormac played with Cratloe at underage level. His athleticism and talent for sport could be seen at an early age and he was popular and well liked by teammates and mentors alike. That distinctive, cheeky smile and warm and genuine nature stayed with him from childhood throughout his too short life.
Cormac was part of the 1996 Minor C Football championship winning side and as an adult was instrumental in the 2004 Intermediate Championship-winning team that broke through to Senior. Playing at wing forward — Cormac was a fast, accurate and honest player. Those who knew Cormac will remember him as a true gentleman, always smiling and willing to make time for others.
This weekend, we observed a minute’s silence in Cormac’s memory at both our Junior and Senior Football Championship matches.
Our deepest sympathies to Michelle and Abbie, Gerry and Brigid, Sinéad and Andrew, Fiach and Lindsay, Ross and Vikki, nieces, nephews and to all of Cormac’s wide circle of family and friends on this profound loss.
