The dust has truelly settled and the 3 tired bodies have now recovered from .

Thankfully all 3 of us finished this truelly gruelling stage.
What a day of climbing and speedy decents overall an unbelievable experience.

As we 3 of us started finished at different times unfortunately theres no photo of the 3 amigos at the finish line.
Buts here's a few snaps that were taken along the way around the route.

Now its nearly time to watch the professional cyclists do what the do best. They are racing the exact same stage on this Saturday the 25th July.

Very best of luck to our Club PRO Gearóid Beamish and club members Sean Allis and Camen Murphy in today in the French Alps.

With over 5400mtrs of elevation gain over the 170km route its gonna pack some punch.

Starting in Bourg D'oisans and taking in legendary climbs including Col de la croix de Fer ,Col de Télégraphe, Col du Galiber and finishing on the Alpe d'Huez via the Col du Sarenne.

An event not for the faint hearted. Drive it on guys. And the very best of luck to you.

Sun cream blue skies and craic was a plenty on the Wild Atlantic Mizen Cycle today.

We had Great numbers out today on the road to support this fantastic charity cycle.

Thanks to all who marchalled those who helped at the food/water stops and the emergency services all along the route.

Great day was had by all.

Hard to believe the Summer Solstice is nearly upon us already.
Weather has been so mixed in the last week or so .
What to wear when we cycle.

Overshoes jacket or gilet ? it'll be ok just a jersey will do. Ill put rain jacket in pocket just in case. 😃

Last Saturday Killarney cc hosted a great event. The 3 peak challenge an event that was well organised a 100km plus a bit route 😃 Thanks Billy Crowley for flying the club colours on the kingdom roads.

On Sunday the Wicklow 200km was on the the garden county. We had 2 club members take part in that event. Well done to Sean Allis and Gearoid Beamish who competed in that event.

On Tuesday and on Thursday we had our midweek club spins. They start in Clonakilty town center at 6.30pm both evenings

Sun was out in all its glory at last
Fort 2 Fort charity cycle was on in East Cork we had 3 club members Eoin Deasy Stuart Sloane and Billy Crowley attend this great event thats growing every year in popularity.

Micheal Mccarthy headed West along to The Tour de Munster VC training cycle.
Don Keohane took off out to the goats path and had a solo peninsula peddle in some lovely sunshine 🌞.
Gearoid Beamish also headed west and checked out the roads for the upcoming coming Ring of Kerry. Reports has it thats theres a Few potholes around it but no doubt they will be filled by July 4th 😉

Today we had out Sunday club spin.
Every sunday morning we meet in Clonakilty town center at 8.30 am and depart sharpish. A different route every Sunday .A great crew out again todays ride towards the picturesque old head of Kinsale.

We also had two more members attend another event The 4 counties Charity cycle which started and finished in Kilbeheny. Thanks to Jerome Deasy and Jim Hennessy for flying the club colours at that great fundraising event.

All in all a great week of cycling was had.

And also winning the King of the Mountains competition.

Its Rás week.

Wishing the very best of luck to club member Liam Crowley who has been selected to race the Rás Tailteann Cycle Race as lead rider in the Irish National team 🇮🇪 for the second time in his career.

A Gruelling 5 day stage race starting in Portlaoise on Wednesday 20th May.

The queen stage is stage 2 starting in Rathmore and finishing nearly 200kms away in Banteer.

Again Best of luck to all riders especially Liam and Team ireland 🇮🇪
