Passage 4. Avondale United 3
Avondale suffered another blow in Division one when Passage won 4-3 on Friday night. . It took Passage just two mins to open the scoring when Stephen Kenny sent a delightful free into the area and Fenton headed home. It was 2-0 on 20 mins when 'Callaghan cut down the right he crossed but the ball was intercepted and went back to O'Callaghan and he shot to the top corner.
On 32 mins Passage dangerman Stephen Kenny scored a delightful 35 yard goal after intercepting the ball and seeing Dane Murphy off his line.
Matt McKevitt pulled one back on 51 mins but one min later Passage made it 4-1 when Barry laid the ball to Stephen Kenny to score from edge of area. Matt McKevitt made it 4-2 when he headed home James Carsons cross. The Passage keeper made a great double save as Avondale pressed.
Matt McKevitt scored his hat trick to make it 4-3 when he got onto Ethan Brutons touch..on 86 mins ..There is no doubt but this is a tough loss for Avondale and it's hurting everyone.

Munster Senior League Keane Cup Midleton 5. Avondale United 1.
Midleton advanced to round 3 of the Keane Cup mainly thanks to a 4 min blitz which yielded 3 good goals. The Dales took the lead on 13 mins when Darragh Mulchinock struck the ball into the area and a defender headed it back and Mulchinock ran onto it and volleyed it to the top corner for a spectacular goal.
It was level on 20 mins when Manson Browne got the ball wide and was allowed to run and cut to the area before he pulled it back for Eoin Healy to stike to the top corner from the edge of the area.
Three goals in a 4 mins spell secured the win for Midleton on 61 mins Rob Walsh cross found Manson Browne and his shot was touched onto the crossbar by Dane Murphy and Jake Hegarty headed the rebound home.
On 62 mins Eoin Healy struck for 25 yards to the bottom corner and on 65 mins Manson Browne set up Liam Lynch to make it 4-1. On 72 mins Jake Hegarty curled a delightful shot to the bottom left corner.
Despite the scoreline which in truth didn't give a true reflection Avondale can certainly look forward to their opening league match with Everton on Saturday week.
