Player Signing | Sam Smith | Forward | 6’7 | Wagner University / Harding University

We are excited to announce the signing of American Forward Sam Smith for the 2026/27 Super League season. Coming from Arkansas, Sam carved out a great collegiate career. In his senior season at Harding (Division 2), Sam averaged 14.9 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 58% from the field and 38% from the three-point line where he was named all-conference and helped Harding to a conference championship.

Sam spent last season at Wagner (Division 1) where he averaged 9.0 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. We look forward to welcoming Sam to Neptune 🔱

PLAYER SIGNING | JALEN HODGE

Guard | 6 foot 1 | James Madison University / Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

We are delighted to announce the signing of United Kingdom guard Jalen Hodge for the 2026/27 season.

Born in the United Kingdom, Jalen enjoyed an impressive college career, spending four years at the division 1 level including Univerisrty of Monroe Louisiana, James Madison University then completing his final year at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Jalen is no stranger to the Irish Super League, having produced a standout season with Ulster University in 2024, averaging 18.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

We are excited to welcome Jalen Hodge to Cork and look forward to seeing him in Neptune colours for the upcoming season.

🔱 Player Signing | Kendall Taylor 🔱

We are delighted to welcome Kendall Taylor to Neptune for the 2026/27 season.

The 6’5” guard/forward from Sacramento, California joins us after a successful college career, most recently with the College of Charleston, having previously starred at Wingate University.
During his senior season at Wingate, Kendall averaged:
🏀 24.4 PPG
💪 8.1 RPG
🎯 4.6 APG
📈 54% FG
His performances earned him First Team All-Conference honours and D2CCA Third Team All-American recognition.
We are looking forward to welcoming Kendall to Cork and seeing him in the blue and white this season.

Kendall Taylor

The Irish F40s have claimed Ireland’s first-ever FIBA Masters Gold medal. It’s an incredible achievement that showcases the talent, determination, and spirit of Irish Masters basketball.
We are incredibly proud of our three Neptune members who represented the green jersey with pride:

Adding a FIBA Masters gold to their Masters Irish National Cup gold is a phenomenal achievement.
A special mention also goes out to Coach Mark Scannell. As a former Neptune player and coach, Mark brings a wealth of experience and basketball knowledge.

Huge congratulations and the absolute best of luck to our very own Dylan O’Rourke! 🔵🏀🇮🇪
Dylan has flown out to Bratislava, Slovakia, to represent Ireland in the FIBA U20 Men’s Youth EuroBasket European Championship!  
The boys in green tip off their tournament today against North Macedonia, followed by crucial group games against Sweden, Azerbaijan, and the hosts, Slovakia. 
All in Neptune are incredibly proud to see Dylan’s hard work and talent recognized on the European stage.
