What an unforgettable journey for Team Ireland at the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships.
Our incredible young athletes return home with an outstanding haul of eight world medals:
🥇 Four Gold Medals — Cameron Geraghty, Freya Marsh, Kayla Murtagh and Ella Carey
🥈 Three Silver Medals — Amelia Lennon, Roman Verhoeven and Adam Duffy
🥉 One Bronze Medal — Timur Vovk
Behind every medal are countless hours of training, sacrifice, discipline and courage. There were early mornings, difficult days, nerves, pressure and challenges—but these young athletes continued to believe, fight and give everything for the Irish flag.
The medals tell only part of the story. What made us proudest was the heart shown by the entire team: the way they supported one another, represented their families, coaches and clubs, and carried themselves with pride on the biggest stage in youth MMA.
To every athlete who stepped into the cage: you made us proud. Whether you returned with a medal or invaluable experience, you showed that you belong among the best young martial artists in the world.
To the coaches, families, teammates and supporters who stood behind these athletes every step of the way—this achievement belongs to you too.
Four world champions. Three world silver medallists. One world bronze medallist. Eight medals. One team. One unforgettable week.

We’re delighted to welcome Cage Warriors Featherweight professional Max Lally as our special guest coach for an exclusive training session with the Irish Youth IMMAF Team.

Max is a fantastic example of the journey that can come from the IMMAF pathway. An IMMAF Youth World Champion 🥇, Max went on to build an outstanding 9–0 amateur record, winning multiple titles before making the transition into professional MMA.
Since turning professional, Max has continued his unbeaten run and has established himself on the Cage Warriors stage, competing as a professional featherweight and continuing to develop into one of Ireland’s most exciting young fighters.
For our youth athletes, this is a brilliant opportunity to train alongside someone who has walked the same path — from representing Ireland in IMMAF competition, to becoming a World Champion, to progressing into the professional ranks.
Max will be bringing his experience, knowledge and competitive mindset to the session, giving our young athletes the chance to learn from someone who understands exactly what it takes to progress from youth competition to the professional level.
We’re looking forward to welcoming Max and getting to work with the next generation of Irish MMA athletes. 🇮🇪💚

WORLD BRONZE FOR TIMUR 🥉🇮🇪
A massive congratulations to Timur Vovk, who proudly represented Team Ireland in the Youth B division at the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships and brought home a brilliant bronze medal!
Timur enjoyed an outstanding championship campaign, progressing through four rounds and recording a decision victory and two impressive submissions along the way. His skill, strength and determination were clear throughout the competition.

WORLD SILVER FOR ADAM🥈🇮🇪
A huge congratulations to Adam Duffy, who proudly represented Team Ireland in the Youth A division at the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships and brought home a fantastic silver medal.
Adam delivered an exceptional championship campaign, earning five consecutive decision victories on his way to the final. Six bouts at the highest level—a remarkable display of consistency, composure and determination.

A massive congratulations to Roman Verhoeven, who proudly represented Team Ireland at the 2026 IMMAF Youth World Championships and brought home a brilliant silver medal!
Roman produced an outstanding run to the final, securing four victories—including two submissions and two decision wins—during an incredibly competitive five-bout campaign.
