We honestly can’t put into words how thrilled, honoured and delighted we are to see the Lynch Cup 2025 shortlisted for LGBTQ+ Event of the Year at the GALAS. 🥹💙💛🩵

To be shortlisted alongside three other incredible events is such a special feeling, and a huge recognition of what the Lynch Cup means to us and to the community.

The Lynch Cup will always be about our friend and team mate Sarah Lynch, celebrating her life, her love of rugby, and the community she brought together. It means so much to see the event she inspired being recognised like this. 🫶

A massive thank you to everyone who nominated us and to every single person who helped make the Lynch Cup what it is!

We’re absolutely buzzing and cannot wait for the GALAS! 🏳️‍🌈✨

What. A. Day.

Our second Lynch Cup was bigger, busier, louder and somehow even more fun than the first. From the first whistle to the last, there was an absolutely unreal atmosphere at Tom Clifford Park. So much rugby, so many laughs, and a whole lot of brilliant people in one place.

Today feels like the perfect day to launch these, with the Lynch Cup being held in honour of our teammate and friend Sarah Lynch. You’ll spot ‘SL’ on every jersey, a small but meaningful tribute to Sarah and the legacy behind this tournament. 💙

We’re so excited to wear these for the first time, and even more excited for the first-ever Sarsfields Women+ contact team to take to the pitch! 🏉

Welfare comes first at the Lynch Cup 💙

We want everyone to have a brilliant day, but most importantly, a safe one. Our Welfare Officer, Rob, will be onsite all day alongside our Welfare Tent and First Aid point, which are clearly marked on the map.

The Welfare Tent will have first aid supplies, sanitary products and more, with an ambulance service onsite throughout the day.

And from 2:30pm, the amazing Brian O’Connor Brian O’Connor Sports Therapy will be at the Info Tent offering sports therapy!

Look after yourself, look after each other, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. 🫶
