It’s training with new partners, learning from different coaches and building friendships with judoka from different countries.

For our young female athletes especially, these are the experiences that matter — seeing what’s possible, challenging themselves and growing in confidence both on and off the mat.

Our coach Brian travelled with our Munster girls who took on six days of intensive training — pushing the pace, putting in the rounds and progressing every day.

A highlight was meeting again. We first met Lele three years ago at a camp in England, where she spoke about her ambitions for the future. Since then, she has gone on to become an Olympian, representing Great Britain at Paris 2024 and a Common Wealth medallist.

Fantastic to see first-hand where ambition, hard work and high standards can take you.
