Kanturk RFC Centenary – Help Us Celebrate 100 Years

As Kanturk RFC prepares to celebrate its Centenary, we’re looking for your help to bring our club’s history to life.

We’re inviting current and former players, members, supporters, families, and the wider community to share any pieces of our club’s story.

We’re looking for:

* Old photographs
* Match programmes
* Newspaper articles and clippings
* Club jerseys and memorabilia
* Team sheets
* Trophies and medals
* Stories, memories, and anecdotes from years gone by

These items will help us create a special Centenary Book and exhibitions as part of our centenary celebrations, ensuring the rich history of Kanturk RFC is preserved for future generations.

If you have anything you’d be willing to share or allow us to copy, we’d love to hear from you. Original items will be treated with the utmost care and returned promptly after being photographed or scanned if required.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of our friend Gerrit Bekker.

Gerrit gave of his time to support Kanturk RFC, contributing to our rugby community through his work as an affiliate referee and coach. We are grateful for the dedication he showed during his time with us and for the role he played in supporting our players and the game we all love.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this time of loss.

May he rest in peace.

The club is delighted to announce the appointment of Aaron Jones as Head Coach for the coming season.

Aaron previously held a player - coach role with Kanturk during the 2012-2013 season, guiding Kanturk to their first MJCC Cup triumph.

We look forward to seeing Aaron back at Knocknacolan for the coming season.

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of former Club President, Don Fitzgerald.

Don served as Club President during the 1988–89 and 1991–92 seasons and was always a great supporter of Kanturk Rugby Club, both on and off the field. We are immensely grateful for Don’s unwavering support, leadership, and the enormous contribution he made to our club and wider community over many years.

On behalf of everyone at Kanturk Rugby Club, we extend our sincere sympathies to Kieran, Marion, Susan, and the wider Fitzgerald family.

Congratulations to Conor O Sullivan for making an appearance with the Munster Juniors against Connacht Juniors on Saturday in Castleisland. Unfortunately Munster came away with a loss but the club is proud of Conor💪🏻🐗
