First weekend of the Junior 500 done and a great weekend of tennis was had for the U14s, U18s and U10s. Well done to all the competitors, volunteers and supporters who made the weekend and a big well done to Adrian on all his hard work over the weekend.

Next weekend is the turn of the U12s and U16s with more tennis starting on Friday and running through the weekend.

This was the first year of the U10 competition at the William Fry Junior Lawn Championship of Ireland and of the 16 players across Ireland and Northern Ireland who qualified, BLTC had three players representing the club.
A massive achievement from Cillian, Siofra and Erin to qualify for Fitz and perform so well over the week. Siofra finished the week as the U10 girls champion while Cillian and Erin also played so well, giving their all on the national stage.
Well done to you all - you should be very proud of what you have achieved.

A very successful week for our juniors in St Michael’s 200 Junior Open.

Well done to Aoibhe on doing the double and winning girls U12 singles and U12 doubles.

Leo and Ross were the winners of the boys U12 while David was a finalist in the boys doubles U14.

Well done to Ben who was a finalist in the boys U12 singles comp and Finn was runner up in the U10 singles.

Well done to everyone who competed and represented the club so well.

BLTC had a big presence at Fitz this year and we are so proud of all of our players who competed over the last two weeks on a national stage.

As the new season approaches we’d like to congratulate one of our club coaches, Mick Hurley, who has recently completed his Master’s in Skill Acquisition from MTU.

The science of sport is constantly evolving, and to have someone at the forefront of this field — and one of the leading experts in the area in the country — is a massive benefit to our programme.

Mick brings over 20 years of coaching experience, has represented Munster and Ireland and also has a Ireland Level 3 coaching qualification, and is a TSS-certified expert. His experience, expertise and science-based approach will be invaluable as we continue to develop our players throughout the 2026 - 27 season.

Congratulations, Mick, from everyone at the club! 👏🎾
