Good luck to another of our multi talented Jester athletes!! So excited for our Jess tonight 🙌🏼 who was chosen from Bandon Special Olympics club to take part in a 100m sprint event against other club representatives from the Special Olympics Munster area. This takes place in MTU prior to the start of the international Cork city sports this evening, busy praying that the temperature might drop a little bit for them. Such a wonderful opportunity and wishing all these fantastic Munster athletes the best of luck.

We have been so amazingly lucky to have been given the opportunity last September by Clon RFC to hold regular Saturday Training sessions in their beyond fantastic facilities. It brought lots of new members who’ve become a very valued part of the Jesters. It gives us great pleasure to wish Conor O’Dwyer one of our very enthusiastic new recruits, an extremely ……….

Conor recently participated in The Special Olympic Summer Games in Dublin, taking part in the sprint event and javelin and coming home with a medal. I know Conor is very much looking forward to rugby training starting again after the summer and we are delighted to have him on board 🏉

As part of their pre-season preparations, the junior men's teams of Bantry Bay RFC and Castleisland RFC will take on Ireland's highest peak, Carrauntoohil, on 5th July.

The climb marks a special milestone as both clubs celebrate their 100th anniversaries. To commemorate the occasion in true rugby style, the teams are aiming to perform the highest lineout and scrum ever held on Ireland's highest mountain!

The challenge also supports a worthy cause, with participants raising vital funds for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
