🎨 Coming Soon to Cobh: "A World in Bloom" by Florin Nolan 🌸
is proud to present "A World in Bloom", a major new exhibition by Cobh-based artist Florin Nolan, whose work explores themes of belonging, placemaking, symbolism, and human-animal relationships.
The exhibition features an extensive collection of new paintings, collages, and sculptures, making this the most comprehensive presentation of Florin's work to date.

Exhibition – Florin Nolan: A World in Bloom
Florin Nolan is an Irish artist of Romanian heritage based in Cobh, County Cork. He is affiliated with Horizon’s Suisha Inclusive Arts, which supports practitioners with intellectual disabilities. His practice explores displacement and belonging, placemaking, human-animal interactions, and the dynamic between symbolism and phantasy.
This exhibition features an extensive body of new work. The production has been realised under the mentorship of artist Róisín O’Sullivan. The exhibition constitutes the most comprehensive presentation of Florin’s work to date.
This exhibition is organised by SIRIUS and curated by Miguel Amado, Director.
Florin Nolan is funded by the Arts Council through an Agility Award and the Arts and Disability Connect Scheme managed by Arts & Disability Ireland, as well as Cork County Council through a Bursary Award.

Florin Nolan, Miguel Amado and Róisín O’Sullivan discuss the personal and aesthetic considerations that inform Nolan’s practice, the themes of the exhibition’s key works, the process behind their production, and broader questions of art and disability.
Accessibility Note
The building has accessibility limitations. There are three steps to the front door, but a temporary wheelchair ramp is available upon request. The facilities are also accessed via stairs.
