Aoife started her dance training in Clonmel, before continuing her studies at Firkin Crane, Cork, under Alan Foley, director at Cork City Ballet. She regularly performed at Firkin Crane, as well as the Cork City Opera House, and Green Glens Arena. Aoife then moved to London to continue her studies, where she was accepted for postgraduate studies in dance at the world famous Trinity Laban Conservat

What a special day today with these beautiful AOK-DANCE ballerinas, getting fitted for their first pair of pointe shoes. These girls work so hard and I can't wait to watch them flourish en pointe. Today marked an exciting milestone in their ballet journey. 🫶 A big shout out to our incredible fitters at Dance World for their professionalism, knowledge, and for simply making the girls feel at ease, can't recommend Dance World enough. 💕

In the middle of all the excitement of the Dance World Cup earlier this summer, I got the great news that AOK-DANCE is a finalist for Dance School of the Year (medium-sized school) at the Golden Dance Awards this September. Honoured to have been nominated for these awards once again this year. Thanks to all who nominated, it means the world to me. As a one-woman show, to be up against schools with numerous teachers and staff, makes me very proud. x
From the AOK-DANCE studio to the world stage at the Dance World Cup 2026, what an amazing achievement and experience to represent Ireland at the biggest dance competition there is, it really is the olympics of dance. For our school to have a gold & silver medalist, really is a dream; beyond proud. Please join me in giving these students all the recognition they deserve and a huge round of applause. 👏🇮🇪 🫶🇮🇪🫶

I don't like singling out students in AOK-DANCE, as every student has their own journey and personal goals, of which I am so proud. But on this occasion I think it is only fair to single somebody out, as it's not every day you have a World Champion in the school. Kyle took home a gold medal at the Dance World Cup for his ballet solo. He also took a silver medal for his lyrical solo. And he finished 4th for his acro solo, narrowly missing the bronze medal by one tenth of a point.
Kyle had already achieved success over the years with the school, winning major awards in events such as Twilight, ADC, Dance Inspirations in the UK, and the Worlds at WLDF on several occasions. But the Dance World Cup is the biggest dance competition in the world. So to have not one, but two medals from the Dance World Cup really is an astonishing achievement.
Anyone who knows me, will know that when I opened the doors of my dance school, all I wanted to do is to pass on my passion for dance, and if I could do this to just one person, I'd be happy.
Kyle joined AOK-DANCE over 8 years ago, and is completely home-grown, having learned his skills in the school with lyrical, contemporary, ballet, acro, and jazz. He has also pushed boundaries, taking on pointe, an area normally only associated with female ballerinas, but now slowly opening up to male ballet dancers around the world.
As Kyle always says, once he started ballet it was a gamechanger for him. This was music to my ears, as I always tell students that ballet is the foundation to any style of dance, and ballet helped develop Kyle in to the dancer he is today.
His trust and loyalty to the school is something I will always remember, as the school has been very much intertwined with his journey. As well as solely attending AOK-DANCE for all classes, he volunteered to help with some of the younger classes and the boys dance, before becoming an assistant in some of these classes. No doubt he will return to help pass on his skills in the future to students of the school who all admire him so much.
To watch Kyle grow and flourish has been special, and I have no doubt there is more to come. I have been delighted to teach Kyle. He has built a great foundation to see him on his next chapter in his professional training in dance, and I have no doubt that if he sticks to this work ethos, loyalty, and dedication, he will go far.
