🇮🇪 WKO IRELAND – IGNITE 2 | BIRR, COUNTY OFFALY 🇮🇪🥊

The WKO travelled to Birr, County Offaly, on Saturday, 19 September 2026, for IGNITE 2, the annual Light Contact Fight Day run by Raphael Creamer, 3rd Dan Black Belt.
The day began with the preliminary section, consisting of 11 demonstration bouts, giving developing fighters valuable experience on the mats. From there, we moved into the undercard at 1:00pm, followed by a 25 -minute interval before the main card got underway at 4:15pm.
It was a packed day of kickboxing from beginning to end, with fighters and clubs travelling to Birr for competitive and demonstration action.
🔥 IGNITE 2 – UNDERCARD RESULTS 🔥
🥊 Shane Finnerty – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club defeated Andre Eduard – Top Pro Carlow by unanimous decision.
🥊 Paddy Finnerty – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club defeated Callum O'Malley – Moate MMA & Fitness by unanimous decision.
🥊 John Lambe – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club defeated Odharn Farrelly by split decision.
🥊 Saoirse Stones – Moate MMA & Fitness defeated Shannon Cullen – An Chearnóg by unanimous decision.
🥊 Oscar Volk – DK1 defeated Owen Clohessy – LCG (Limerick Combat Gym).
🥊 Sarah Walshe Toppro Carlow Defeated - Lexi Laffan Stradbally, produced a closely contested fight, with Sarah Walsh taking the victory by split decision.
🥊 Josh Condren – Total Kickboxing defeated Callum Fagan – Nenagh Kickboxing by unanimous decision.
🥊 Paddy Finnerty – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club returned to the mats and secured his second victory, defeating Jake – Moate MMA & Fitness by unanimous decision.
🥊 Jack Heavin vs Darragh Lee – TeamRyano Portlaoise ended in a DRAW after another closely fought contest.
🥊 Heidi Lynch – Stradbally Kickboxing defeated Senicheva Viktoria – Underground Tullamore.
🥊 Paige Dean – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Jessica Gahan – Moate MMA & Fitness was brought to an end following the first round due to a medic stoppage following a leg injury.
🥊 Cara Lawler – Top Pro Carlow defeated Stella Reilly – Moate MMA & Fitness after three fantastic rounds.
🥊 Shay Thompson – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs John Lambe – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club put on a fantastic demonstration bout of kickboxing, with both fighters giving an excellent account of themselves.
🥊 Ruairi Creamer vs Jack Hynes – both Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club. At just six years of age, both youngsters put on an amazing demonstration bout of kickboxing, showing tremendous skill, heart and determination.
🥊 Adrian O'Donoghue – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Cain Jennings – DK1 put on a fantastic demonstration bout of kickboxing, with both fighters showing excellent skill and sportsmanship.
🥊 Adrian O'Donoghue – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Jakub Andryanczck – Shannon Kickboxing produced another fantastic demonstration bout, with both teenagers displaying excellent kickboxing skills.
🥊 Filipe Nunes – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Evan Conway – An Chearnóg produced an outstanding three-round demonstration bout, which finished as a DRAW.
🥊 Alan Ginson – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Rhys O'Connell – LCG (Limerick Combat Gym) put on a fantastic three-round demonstration bout of kickboxing, with both fighters giving a brilliant display.

🔥 FIRST SEMI-FINAL
🥊 Ben Ginson – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Luke O'Sullivan – Shannon Kickboxing produced a fantastic opening semi-final. Both teenagers gave everything in a brilliant contest, but after three rounds Luke O'Sullivan took the victory by unanimous decision, becoming the first fighter to book his place in the WKO Irish title final.

🔥 SECOND SEMI-FINAL
🥊 Rhys Buckley – Moate MMA & Fitness vs Samuel De Felice – Top Pro Carlow produced another excellent semi-final. After three highly competitive rounds, Samuel De Felice was awarded the victory by unanimous decision and booked the second place in the final.
🏆 Winner: Samuel De Felice – Top Pro Carlow – Unanimous Decision
⏸️ 15-MINUTE INTERVAL
Following a packed undercard, there was a 15-minute interval before the fighters returned to the mats and the IGNITE 2 main card began at 3:45pm.
🔥 IGNITE 2 – MAIN CARD RESULTS 🔥
🥊 Danny McCann – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Blake Healy – LCG (Limerick Combat Gym) opened the main card with three thrilling rounds of kickboxing. The judges were unable to separate the two fighters.
Result: DRAW
🥊 Dan Jones – Pikeman MMA defeated Troy Jarmalaevas by split decision.
🥊 Eoghan Brett – Moate MMA & Fitness defeated Ciaran Fleming – Stradbally Kickboxing by majority decision.
Three fights into the main card, it was time for the two victorious semi-finalists to return to the mats and battle for the WKO Irish title.

After coming through their respective semi-finals earlier in the day, both teenagers returned knowing that one final three-round battle stood between them and the WKO Irish title.
What followed was three fantastic rounds of high-quality kickboxing. Both fighters showed tremendous skill, determination and composure in an extremely close title contest.
When the judges' scorecards were called, it was a split-decision victory for Luke O'Sullivan!

🥊 Lee Hiher – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club defeated Michal Q Keogh – Pikeman Martial Arts by majority decision.
🥊 Tomas Murray – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club defeated Artur Tyslenko – White Tiger Martial Arts by unanimous decision.
🥊 Agnes Jozwiek – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club vs Su Huschke – Nenagh Kickboxing Club was stopped during the second round, with Su Huschke declared the winner.
🥊 Finn Geraghty – An Chearnóg Gym defeated James Knowles – Stradbally Kickboxing by unanimous decision.
🥊 Arek Kwiatkowski – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club defeated Aaron Condon – Total Kickboxing by unanimous decision.
🥊 Lewis King – Nenagh Kickboxing defeated Ryan Tearle – Total Kickboxing by unanimous decision.
🥊 Nathan Keane – White Tiger Martial Arts defeated Tom Moran – DK1 after three rounds.
🥊 Arek Kwiatkowski – birr K-1 kickboxing and self defence club returned to action against Leigh Ferrington – Total Kickboxing and secured his second unanimous decision victory of the day.
🥊 Dominik Rojczyk – Nenagh Kickboxing defeated Rhys Earls – Team Ryano Portlaoise by unanimous decision.
🥊 Tomas Murray – Birr K-1 Kickboxing Club stepped onto the mats for his second fight of the day, this time against Jack Burke – Team Ryano Portlaoise TeamRyano Portlaoise. It was another close and evenly contested fight, but after three rounds Tomas Murray secured his second victory of the day by unanimous decision.

A huge amount of work goes into running a fight day of this size. Aidan Whelan of Nenagh Kickboxing Club served as Head Light Contact Referee, with, Tony ODonnell Limerick Combat Gym and Howie Vincent of Shannon Kickboxing Gym Raphael Creamer also refereeing throughout the day.
The judging team consisted of Stefan Moriarty , Tony O'Donnell, Howie Vincent, Stuart Kearney , Ryan Morrissey , Aidan Whelan, Martin Casey , Ugne Kleinaityte and Sean O'Neill , all playing an important role in keeping a very busy day of competition running smoothly and professionally.
🚑 A huge thank you to the Order of Malta, who provided medical cover throughout the event and looked after the safety and welfare of all fighters.

From the 11 preliminary demonstration bouts, through the 1:00pm undercard, the 15-minute interval, and finally onto the 3:45pm main card, IGNITE 2 gave fighters of all ages and experience levels an opportunity to compete, learn and develop.
A massive thank you to every fighter, coach, club, family member, official, medic, volunteer and supporter who travelled to Birr and helped make the day possible.
