Hi folks,

It's with heavy hearts that we have to post this. Bikes & Boards will close down permanently from today.

It's not a decision we have taken likely but with the recent down turn in tourism and spiralling costs it's simply not possible for us to continue.

Summer 2024 was our 10th season, we really enjoyed showcasing our town and Greenway to people from all over Ireland and the world.

There's so many people that helped us along the way and we want to say a massive thank you to:

Part time work available in seasonal bike rental business, flexible hours. Role includes taking bookings, explaining the route and fitting helmets and bicycles as well as having the craic with tourists visiting Castlebar. Time for Brian and Ferg to do the annual Green arrows on the Greenway, it can only mean one thing.. summer is on the way and we are open for the 2023 season!

Please let us know beforehand if you want to rent a bike as the HQ is not always manned, but we are never far away!

The Greenway out to the fabulous National Museum and Country Gardens is a great day out, no group too big or small!

Bikes & Boards will close for season 2021 on Oct 26th.Thanks for all the support and we will open as usual again from spring 2022.
We really enjoyed showing off the fantastic Greenway from Lough Lannagh to The National Museum in Turlough all summer long and can't wait to get back at it.
