The courts are ready, the players are arriving, and the stage is set for a fantastic weekend of tennis and craic at the PTSB Castlebar TC Senior Tour 500 Weekend! 🎾🙌

We’re delighted to welcome players, supporters and visitors from near and far to Castlebar Tennis Club for what promises to be a weekend of brilliant matches, great atmosphere and plenty of fun both on and off the court.

A warm Mayo welcome awaits you in Sam Maguire’s home county – where the tennis is competitive, the hospitality is second to none, and the craic is always guaranteed!

🎾 What a fantastic weekend at the Kavanagh's SuperValu Junior Tennis Open at Castlebar Tennis Club!

We were delighted to welcome young players from clubs across Ireland for a weekend of outstanding tennis, played in glorious sunshine. The standard of competition, sportsmanship and determination on display across all age groups was exceptional.

A huge congratulations to all participants, winners and runners-up, and a sincere thank you to Tournament Director Jan Frydrych, our volunteers, officials, parents and supporters who helped make the event such a success.

Always wanted to try tennis? Now’s your chance! Join our 12-week “Try Tennis” programme, designed to help complete beginners learn the basics, meet other players, and start playing real matches.

Weeks 1–4 – Learn the Basics
Get started with coach-supported sessions alongside club members who will help you learn key skills.
Cost: €25

Weeks 5–8 – Supervised Match Play
Start putting your skills into action with guided match play sessions with club members.

Weeks 9–12 – Friendly League
Take part in a fun and relaxed league organised just for the group — a great way to continue improving while enjoying friendly competition.

Cost for Weeks 5–12: €50 which includes a Starter Membership, giving you:
• Full access to club courts
• Use of the online court booking system
• The ability to arrange games with other players
