Good Evening Everyone 👋

So the two charities I have chosen for the October’s Fundraising Event are The Amy Lawler Memorial Fund and The Cairdeas Centre in Tullow.

The Amy Lawler Memorial Fund is a local charity in Carlow that help families of Cystic Fibrosis Sufferers with expenses during hospital stays and tough times. They help many families cope with the expenses, hardship and stress involved in caring for a family member when they are ill. Often when one is ill we forget the financial impact and stress it can have on an entire family, Hospital Parking Charges, Diesel Expenses for Appointments and Admissions, Time off Work, Bills etc, the Lawler Family provide a great service and live locally to me and I’m delighted to be able to help them with some fundraising.

The Cairdeas Centre in Tullow is a wonderful facility that provides services for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities. I had the pleasure of doing my work placement here many years ago and throughly enjoyed every minute of it am delighted to be able to give something back to the community.

Brendan Willie and Betty getting Certs today for completing 10 weeks social Farming programme on Liam and Simone Webbs Farm. Liam and Simone made us all so welcome in there home. Great success thanks to all Deirdre Callaghan Sarah Conroy Paul Kidd Waterford Leader and Carlow Development Partnership and Dylan Thomas for presenting the certs. Thank you to John Evoy who has moved on but helped to get the program started.
In 2018 we will grow the program in Co. Carlow as it has so many advantages for our group well done to all
