Some words from Sophie about her summer internship with us!
"The past three months at Sea Synergy were honestly some of the best. It was not only the best team I have worked with and the best work environment, but also the work itself! The passion and dedication that Sea Synergy puts into everything they do was truly inspiring.
What I enjoyed most about the work was the research we got to be involved in, and all the time Elis and Lukas dedicated to teaching us, from practical fieldwork to working with programmes like R Studio and QGIS, while having a super busy schedule themselves. I learned so much during these three months, both professionally and personally.
Furthermore, what I found most inspiring were the citizen science projects. They give so many people the perfect introduction to science and conservation and, most importantly, show them that they can be part of it themselves!
Even the most annoying jobs, like washing all the wetsuits after a night snorkel, were always fun with this team!
So, a huge thank you to Elis, Lukas and Aran for this amazing time, all the things you taught me, and all the memories I got to make along the way. I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and will definitely miss Sea Synergy and this team!"
