LAST OF THE SUMMER FLING

Old fashioned fun in 17th Century gardens!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday for our End of Summer Garden Party. From picnics on the lawn to games on the bowling green, it was a brilliant day filled with fun, laughter and summer spirit.

Even got involved in our famous welly throwing competition! But they were no match for the father-and-son duo, Rob & Rory, who both took home the coveted Golden Welly trophy in their respective categories. A very well-earned victory!

WE'RE IN THE MICHELIN GUIDE!

We are incredibly proud to share that the Grain Store at Killruddery has been selected for inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide.

This feels like a very special moment for us.

The Grain Store has grown hand-in-hand with the revival of Killruddery's Kitchen Garden and our commitment to bringing more of what we grow and raise here on the estate to the table.

Today, Head Chef Niall O'Sullivan and his team work closely with our gardeners, farm team and a wonderful network of Irish growers and producers to create food that is led by the seasons, by provenance and, whenever possible, by what is growing just beyond the kitchen door.

For that work to be recognised by the MICHELIN Guide means a great deal.

Most of all, this belongs to the many hands behind every service - our kitchen and front-of-house teams, gardeners, farmers, growers, suppliers and everyone who has helped the Grain Store evolve.

And to everyone who has eaten with us, returned, recommended us and encouraged us along the way - thank you.

NATIONAL HERITAGE WEEK 2026

‘Heritage at Risk’ 15th - 24th of August

Killruddery’s heritage gardens were established by the fourth and sixth Earls of Meath. Today, the 17th Century formal gardens continue to be lovingly overseen by the Brabazon family, and Head Gardener Daragh Farren + Team.

Step into history this Heritage Week and discover the stories, architecture and beautiful landscapes of Killruddery House & Gardens. Open Tuesday - Sunday from 9.30am - 6pm AND open Monday 17th August to celebrate heritage week.

GROW YOUR OWN CUT FLOWERS

Join us on the 6th of September as Killruddery Gardener Annette Daly leads a 'Grow Your Own Cut Flowers' workshop as part of our Autumn Flower Studio Series.

During this full day workshop you will learn how to create a cutting garden that provides flowers from March to November, with practical guidance on everything from seed sowing and propagation to soil preparation, mulching, staking and succession planting.

Included is a long table lunch in the award winning Grain Store restaurant and a visit to our cutting garden.

AUTUMN AT KILLRUDDERY

As the season begins to change, we’re delighted to launch our Autumn Event Programme.

This autumn, join us to slow down, learn something new, or celebrate the beauty and abundance of the season with hands-on workshops led by passionate experts.

Autumn also sees the return our seasonal supper club, Head Chef Niall O’Sullivan carefully creates each menu inspired by what’s in season on our farm and in our gardens.

Join us for an Autumn Seasonal Supper Club at the Grain Store; an evening shaped by the land, produce and renewed energy of the season.

Head Chef Niall O’Sullivan and his team will serve a thoughtfully composed four-course menu inspired by what is grown, reared, and gathered across Killruddery’s Farm and Gardens. Each dish celebrates autumn’s abundance and distinctive flavours, bringing guests along the journey from our soil to the table.

IDIR DHÁ SHRUTH - BETWEEN TWO STREAMS

Join us on the 11th of September for an intimate stripped back evening of songs, tunes and hopeful music in the atmospheric setting of the Orangery.

Fiachna Ó Braonáin and Clare Sands bring together voice, strings and spirit in a performance shaped by quiet respect for each others roots, and the living landscape around Killruddery House, Gardens and Estate.

There will be a special pre-concert dinner in the award winning Grain Store restaurant comprising of a seasonal three course menu showcasing whats in season on the estate and in the walled garden.
