Anti-Doping Officer

Duration: 2 Years
Workload: 1–2 hours/week
Synopsis: Manages association-wide compliance with national and international anti-doping regulations. This role is currently combined on a tempoary basis with the duties of the Medical Officer.

Core Responsibilities

Policy Monitoring: Stay up to date on all revisions to prohibited and controlled substance registries issued by WADA, World Archery, and the Irish Sports Council. Share these list updates with the membership in a timely manner.

Testing Coordination: Assist athletes with processing Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) applications. Act as the primary on-site liaison for athletes during drug testing sessions, notifying selected archers and assisting them through the process.

Enforcement Actions: If the use, sale, or distribution of prohibited substances comes to light, the officer must notify relevant sports authorities immediately and start a formal inquiry.

Knowledge & Experience Required

Clear communication skills and a strong understanding of medical-sport restrictions, TUE application processes, and anti-doping rules.

Archery Ireland is seeking a Medical Officer

Duration: 2 Years
Workload: 1–2 hours/week
Synopsis: Coordinates emergency safety statements, first aid standards, and healthcare documentation across all affiliated branches.
Core Responsibilities

Club First Aid Standards: Ensure each affiliated club has at least one volunteer fully certified in basic first aid (covering CPR, AED deployment, minor injury care, and recognizing major illnesses). Maintain a central registry of all active club first-aiders.

Safety Policies: Design and update a comprehensive safety statement for the national association, along with adaptable safety templates that local clubs can deploy. Ensure clubs keep their emergency first aid kits fully stocked, arranging for resupply orders as needed.

Incident Logging: Track and file accident reports from sanctioned tournaments and national team practices to identify injury patterns and implement safety improvements. Book professional medical staff to attend major national events when requested by the executive.

Knowledge & Experience Required

Must maintain active, verified first aid certifications covering CPR, AED use, and emergency medical response.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to offer clear guidance during safety updates

Archery Ireland is seeking a Club Development Officer

Duration: 1 Year
Workload: 5–7 hours/week
Synopsis: An active regional field representative who creates and assists local clubs to help them resolve operational issues, implement training structures, and access grants.

Core Responsibilities

Site Visits: Visit active clubs across the country within their yearly term, or maintain regular check-ins with club secretaries if travel is restricted. Meet with member club committees to clarify challenges, assess facility parameters, and build clear development paths.

Administrative Support: Help clubs deploy the national club management package and related regulatory policies. Guide clubs through the steps to apply for state grants, municipal sports funding, and corporate awards.

Program Deployment: Help local instructors roll out the official FITA beginner awards curriculum. Maintain contact via email and phone to answer questions from local club officers.

This active position depends on annual budget availability.

Knowledge & Experience Required

Must possess a full driving license and regular access to a car to travel for long-distance regional club visits.
Friendly demeanour, solid communication skills, and clear familiarity with the association's growth materials.

Archery Ireland is seeking a new International Secretary

Role Duration: 2 Years

Workload: 0–2 hours/week standard; 4+ hours/week during selection deadlines.

Synopsis: Manages travel logistics, commercial transport booking, housing, and competition registration for national squads traveling abroad.

Core Responsibilities

Team Management: Ensure that all Team Ireland members accept and sign agreements, and are aware of their anti-doping e-learning requirements. Meet with Team Ireland members as required.
Logistical Booking: Use WAREOS and other systems to secure cost-effective group transportation, housing, entry passes, and catering options within deadlines but without lowering athlete comfort or performance. Provide invoices to Team Ireland members for their personal costs after each competition.

Financial Projections: Calculate and provide detailed travel expense forecasts months before events to assist the Treasurer with budget planning.

Selection Support: Coordinate prompt meetings of the selection subcommittee at the end of qualification cycles to verify that team rosters match established performance rules.

Knowledge & Experience Required

Prior experience in corporate logistics, event travel booking, or hospitality administration is required.

Academic training (such as a degree or master's qualification) in a management, business, or logistics field is preferred.

Limerick Archers is a new Archery Ireland Club and they have asked us to share the following:

Archery Ireland Supports Para Archery and Club Development in Limerick

Archers of Limerick is delighted to receive support from Archery Ireland through grant funding for Para Archery and club development.

Following consideration by the Archery Ireland Board, our €250 club affiliation fee will be covered for the club’s first year. This support will help us during the important early stages of establishing a new, sustainable and inclusive archery club in Cappamore.

Our aim is to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience archery, with a particular focus on developing para archery and increasing the visibility of inclusive archery in Limerick and across the country.

We are extremely grateful to Archery Ireland for recognising the commitment and hard work of everyone involved in developing the club, and for offering its continued guidance and support as we move forward.

This assistance is another important step towards welcoming our first members, delivering beginner programmes and creating a club in which everyone has the opportunity to participate and develop.
