Wildwater is racing, plain and simple — one of the sharpest classes on the river. The boats are custom-made for the job, the lines are studied, and nearly everyone on the start line is chasing the win or their best time.

K1 C - Fun at the back. Flat out at the front. 🚀

K1 C is where most paddlers find their Liffey, a solo boat, a big day out, and every weir earned on your own blade. For the majority, that's the whole point.

But make no mistake about the sharp end. The front of this field races deadly serious, and K1 C is one of the hardest classes on the river to win. If you fancy your chances, you'll have to take it off them.

T2 - One boat, two paddlers, and 28km of the Liffey between you and the finish line. 🛶

T2 is the class that does it all. For most crews it's about the day out — the weirs, the splashes, the stories you'll be telling for years. But don't be fooled: plenty of pairs line up with a race plan, and the front of the T2 field moves.

However you paddle it, you'll never do it alone.

Grab a partner. Grab a boat. We'll see you on the water.

The minimum age for junior paddlers entering the doubles class with an adult has been reduced to 14 years 🚣‍♀️🚣

This change applies only where an adult is also in the boat. Junior paddlers must still have the skills and experience required to safely complete the race 🛟
