Teach An Uisce Sub Aqua-Search & Recovery, Ballina (2026)

A piece of history returned to Arranmore. In 1987/1988 Johnny Walsh from Killala bought the boat St. Cecelia from Thomas Boyles father (Phil Bán Boyle) and Pictured here in the first picture is Ollie Clarke, nephew of Johnny Walsh with the Samson post of St. Cecelia in Kilcummin. Ollie found the remains of the boat and gave it to Teach An Uisce to return to the island. In the second picture is Thomas Boyle, owner of Phil Báns pub in Arranmore with the Samson post of the st. Cecelia . Both men can remember tying rope around the post as young boys which can be seen in the third picture. It was Teach An Uisces privilege to return the piece home to arranmore.
