📣 St Francis FC Athlone is delighted to announce further progress in our girls football development program . 🤩

Due to demand & the success of our existing 7 girls teams , we are now launching a new girls team of superstar saints for u7/8s( girls born in 2018 & 2019 ). 😇⚽️

⚽️ The initial trainings will be coordinated by our experienced , safeguarded , garda vetted & qualified coaches . Cathriona Lennon , Paschal Dillon , Alan Mccaul & Joe Dunne .

St Francis Orchids U13 Girls made the Short Trip to Hodson Bay Celtic for an Early Morning Kick Off.

Both Teams Displayed some Great Football,Hudson Bay went into the Break 1-0 Up,St Francis Came out Stronger in the 2nd Half and Went 3-1 Up.

St. Francis Under 13 Girls started their league campaign today against Mullingar Swans in which the new look St. Francis squad played brilliantly throughout.
Always a close game between these two sides but on this occasion St. Francis came out on top with brilliant performances from every one of the girls. 👍⚽️👕👚😇

After an excellent pre season the girls started today in great form , With a deserved win over MA Swans .

From the start , the girls controlled the game & passed the ball brilliantly.

Aisling fallon broke the deadlock & scored another to make it 2-0 @ halftime with two great finishes .

The girls controlled the game but Swans are a strong team and never gave up .

Goalkeeper-
Alicja Tomcyzk was excellent in goals , making some important saves .

⚽️Defenders -
Isla McEnroe , Amber O’Neill , Katelyn Casey , Grace Seidje , Amber Keys all had excellent games .

👕Midfielder
The midfield trio of Lucy Harney , Aoibheann Byrne & Sarah -Jane Dunne controlled the game and passed the ball brilliantly .

👕Attackers
Holly McCaul , Aisling Fallon , Florenca Dakaj , Aoibhinn Mcgowan , Lara McDonagh & Robyn Samuels had great movement & interplay , we’re a constant threat .

St Francis FC Athlone Under 12's girls result Bealnamulla 1-1 St. Francis.

A good result against a very good Bealnamulla side. Bealnamulla took the lead half way through the first half with a well taken strike. St. Francis absorbed a lot of pressure in the first half and held firm till half time. The second half was a bit more even and with 5 minutes to go Rachel Daly struck with the equaliser. A good first game back and thanks to Bealnamulla for a hard fought game.

St Francis FC Athlone u14 girls played an excellent Challange match vs a very strong Salthill Devon Football Club .

They played excellent football and competed with the physically stronger team .

A great performance & result to end the preseason , big congrats to Lara Mcdonagh on scoring her 1st goal for the club , we are all delighted for you . 👏🤩

Massive Congratulations to Drum / Clonown/Monksland Community Games on winning silver at the National Finals yesterday.

After a very tough semi final beating an excellent longford team after extra time on penalties in the semi finals . St Francis FC Athlone players Sarah -Jane Dunne scoring the first penalty and Mille Ward saving two penalties securing their place In the final .

They just came up short against a very good Munster team in the final .

A brilliant few months for the girls winning Roscommon and Connaught Championships. 🏆🥇
