CAPTAINS BRÍD KENNY’S WEEKEND
It’s our Bríd Kenny’s Captains weekend and the best of luck to her as she hosts a number of events. On Friday there is a 12 hole fourball scramble ( there is still tee times available) starting at 2pm to 6.00pm. On Saturday the men fight it out for her prize over 18holes and on Sunday there is the Ladies 18 hole qualifier and the top 18 qualify for his 9 hole playoff on Sunday evening. Presentation takes place at 9pm after the playoff on Sunday.
It looks like a scorcher for the weekend and best of luck to everyone participating over the coming days.

With the fine weather we are getting don’t forget we are holding our club classic this Friday & Saturday the 26th/27th of June.

On Saturday and Sunday there is the men’s 18 hole qualifier and the top 10% each day qualify for his 9 hole playoff on Sunday evening.

********** Hole in one***********
There must be something in air as we have had another hole in one at Athlone golf club. This time it was by veteran Willie Owen’s when he holed out for a 1 on the difficult 6th hole. Not only doing that he also went on to win the weekend competition where he scored 44pts in very wet and windy conditions. 👏👏👏
