A huge congratulations to all our junior rowers on a very successful year. Your hard work, commitment and enthusiasm have done the club proud, and it was wonderful to celebrate all your achievements together this year. 👏🚣

A massive thank you to all our volunteers who give so generously of their time and energy. You are a huge part of what makes our club such a special place for our junior rowers. ❤️

We also want to send our very best wishes to Coach Fergie Hannon on his retirement. Thank you for your incredible commitment, dedication and massive service to Athlone Boat Club over the years. Your contribution to the club and to generations of rowers is hugely impactful and appreciated. 👏💙

Finally, a massive thank you to the staff and management of The Bounty Bar for looking after us so well and helping make it such a fantastic night! 🙌

What a weekend! Our Introduction to Rowing event on August 22nd and 23rd was a huge success! The turnout was amazing, the kids did a fantastic job, and we had a blast. A huge thank-you to all participants and especially to every volunteer who gave their time to support these young future rowers. 🚣‍♂️

🚣‍♂️ Well done to Adam & Alan Kenny who competed in the senior endurance coastal championships in Wicklow. ⭐️

The lads rowed in the Mens Senior C2, they came 5th out of 19 which was remarkable. 💪

🌊 Athlone’s Anna O’Grady Signs for Rutgers University Women’s Rowing ❤️ 🇺🇸

Athlone Boat Club is celebrating a proud moment as Anna O’Grady, has officially signed with Rutgers University Women’s Rowing in the United States. 🇺🇸

This incredible milestone marks the next chapter in a journey that began on the banks of the River Shannon, where Anna first discovered rowing as a young athlete.

We all send Anna the very best for the future and wish her well on this next adventure.

Well done Anna ❤️ We are all so proud of you!

Rockett soars to new heights as Heaslip earns Ireland call | Westmeath Independent

🇮🇪 INTERNATIONAL SELECTION NEWS! 🇮🇪

We are absolutely bursting with pride to share some fantastic news from Rowing Ireland — our very own Sophie Reynolds has been selected to represent Ireland at the Coupe de la Jeunesse Beach Sprints in Figueira da Foz, Portugal, on 2–3 October, competing in the Junior Women’s 2X! 🇮🇪🚣‍♀️🌊

What an incredible achievement for Sophie and a hugely proud moment for her family and everyone here at Athlone Boat Club. 💙

Sophie is a fantastic athlete, whose hard work, determination and talent continue to shine through. This international selection is so well deserved, and we have no doubt that she is one to watch for the future of Irish rowing! ⭐️

The whole club will be behind you every stroke of the way, Sophie! 🇮🇪💪

Portugal, here she comes! 🇵🇹🔥
