Connacht XC Relays

The inaugural Connacht Cross Country Relays will take place at Belleek on Saturday 12 September.

First race on the day will be the U11 girls 4 x 500m at 11am.

Entries are now open via the online booking system. Details have been sent to clubs by the Connacht Secretary. Entries close on 6 September.

Each athlete may only be entered on at most one team. Up to six athletes may be entered on each team with four to run.

Athletes may run one year up in the U11 to U15 events, with a maximum of two athletes on each team competing one year up. All four athletes on each team may run up a year in the U17 event.

For mixed teams, the order is Female, Male, Female, Male.

Further details in relation to the venue, parking etc will be circulated once entries have closed.

Claudia Coyle to Compete for the Irish u18 Development Squad in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Best of luck to Claudia Coyle who was selected for the Irish u18 squad that travel to Aberdeen to compete in the Scottish Track and Field competitions this weekend.

Claudia will be competing in the 1,500m steeple chase.

ANDREW EGAN SHINES IN BIRMINGHAM 🇮🇪🔥

Galway City Harriers are so proud of Andrew Egan who ran an excellent first leg of the 4x400m relay this morning in Birmingham at the European Athletics Championships.

The team finished 5th in one of two heats to narrowly miss out on a final appearance (by 0.43s only). Each of the Irish team ran outstanding legs and left everything on the track in searing heat for one of the best men's relay performances by an Irish team for quite some time.
