⚠️A calorie deficit doesn’t mean eating as little as possible. It means eating slightly less than your body needs⚠️

➡️ Let’s say your body needs around 2,500 calories per day.

If you eat 2,000 calories, you’re creating a deficit of around 500 calories. Your body needs to get that missing energy from somewhere. With enough protein and proper strength training, we want as much of that energy as possible to come from stored body fat.

But people often think:

❌️ “If 2,000 calories works, I’ll eat 1,000 calories and lose weight twice as fast.” ❌️

That’s where problems can start.

At first, the number on the scale may drop very quickly. But you’re not just losing body fat. A lot of the initial weight loss can be water and glycogen, and with a very aggressive deficit, the risk of losing muscle increases too.

You also have less energy. Your workouts suffer, recovery becomes harder, and you may feel hungry, tired and irritable. You can even start moving less during the day without realising it, which means you burn fewer calories through everyday activity.

After a few weeks, a common situation is:

“I can’t do this anymore.” → overeating → guilt → another extreme diet.

That’s why I tell my clients:

✅️ The goal isn’t to lose as much weight as possible, as quickly as possible. The goal is to lose body fat, keep as much muscle as possible, feel good and actually maintain the results.

👉 Moderate calorie deficit = slower weight loss, but better energy, better training, better muscle retention and a much better chance of keeping the results.

👉 Aggressive calorie deficit = faster scale weight loss initially, but greater risk of hunger, fatigue, poor performance, muscle loss and eventually giving up.

Fat loss isn’t a competition to see who can eat the least. It’s about finding an approach you can actually stick to.

🔥 FAT LOSS WITHOUT EXTREME METHODS 🔥

8 June → 8 August | 2 months of consistent work

The numbers speak for themselves:

91.65 kg → 87.3 kg
⬇️ 4.35 kg body weight

19.0% → 17.4% body fat
⬇️ 1.6 percentage points

Visceral fat: 12 → 11
⬇️ Moving in the right direction

And this was achieved without starving, crash dieting or extreme methods.

🏋️ My weekly training routine:

💥 3× Full Body Strength Training
💥 2× 30-minute low-intensity spinning sessions

That's 5 workouts per week, consistently

The approach was simple: a controlled calorie deficit, high protein intake, resistance training as the foundation, moderate cardio, daily activity, hydration and—most importantly—consistency

❌️ No endless cardio
❌️ No cutting out carbs
❌️ No starvation diet
❌️ No trying to lose weight as quickly as possible
❌️ No ozempic or other appetite blockers 🤣🖕

The goal wasn't simply to make the scale drop. The goal was to reduce body fat while continuing to train, maintain strength and preserve as much muscle as possible.

Smart-scale measurements can fluctuate depending on hydration, glycogen and measurement conditions, so I focus on the overall trend rather than one isolated reading

4.35 kg down in 2 months. 5 workouts every week. No extreme methods

🔥 You don't need to be extreme. You need to be consistent

Consistency beats intensity when intensity can't be sustained. 💪

The biggest lesson?
A successful fat-loss phase isn't about eating as little as possible and doing as much cardio as possible!!!

Why counting calories is important?!

A good real-life comparison is managing your bank account:
Calories are like money. If you don’t know how much is coming in and how much is going out, it’s hard to understand why your balance keeps changing.

If your goal is fat loss, counting calories helps you see whether you’re actually in a calorie deficit.
You might be eating healthy foods, but just like spending money on good things, you can still spend too much.

Another comparison:
You wouldn’t drive somewhere without knowing how much fuel you have in the tank.
Tracking calories is like checking your fuel gauge—it helps you understand how much energy you’re putting into your body compared with how much you use.

Simple message:
You don’t have to count calories forever. But counting them for a while teaches you portion sizes, food choices, and how much your body actually needs.
